our next guest is a talented actress starring in a new film entitled lovelace
which opens august 9th
ladies and gentlemen please welcome the lovely amanda seyfried welcome back to
the show you look
uh lovely nice to have you with us thanks with this uh i'll just say this about
this movie oh my
you know what i'm saying yeah i know exactly what you're saying i'm wondering
what you thought about
it well uh uh it's something i know a little bit a bit about uh and it in its
day there was nothing
more popular than this and then it turned out later that the story was not that
happy yeah it was
pretty depressing actually which is kind of why we made the movie um but jokes
aside it's uh she had an
incredible she she had a really incredible story that we didn't really know we
kind of projected our
own um idea of her here's the thing and this is the least of it but you have to
know this 600 million
dollars and more worldwide and and the woman for her trouble made like 1200
bucks she didn't make
1200 bucks didn't even make no she didn't in fact her husband made the 1250
bucks uh that's what you'll
learn if you see the movie it's it's it's insane actually and i compare it to
mama mia like a film
that i did that made it made also over 600 million dollars and it's just like
what she she i mean i
at least benefited from that right she got nothing she got screwed um she she
was she was a host no no
no but she was a work though a hostage uh really in in her own life and it's
very sad but now let me
ask you another question about the completely different about your dog finn you
have a dog
yeah did i pronounce that right yeah you did
is your dog here tonight of course he is codependent now does your dog because
a lot of people say oh i
got the greatest dog and they don't really do anything does your dog do it yeah
he he balances
things on his head no he doesn't the dog balances things yeah he sure does in
fact he has his own twitter
account um but now what you're describing is the behavior of a circus dog yeah
but you know what i
don't think i think he's a little young for that no i'm not suggesting you put
him i'm suggesting that
this is so advanced that only circus dogs could do it well thank you yes it is
a lovely compliment isn't
it yeah so what could the dog do were he to come out tonight he would balance
something on his head
like what like i requested a hamburger be available okay now right there i don't
believe you i'm not
saying you're lying i'm just saying a dog with raw or cooked meat on his head
yeah is going to go nuts
and not sit there with it on his head no he's amazing he's going to blow your
mind really yeah
come here buddy is he coming hey finn hey come here you're so stupid look at
you
no no over here bubba over here no no come here now this already is amazing
behavior the fact that
you called him out here he's never been here before yeah he heard me no he hasn't
hi finn that's a
beautiful dog he's a good boy he's an australian shepherd oh australian
shepherd they're very smart
they are smart they're very smart and they make good i'll show you they make
good cattle dogs
yeah and sheep dogs hi finn hi buddy he's a little worried where's the
hamburger okay shall i just give
you a hamburger yeah i'm sure you've got one somewhere i do but i don't i'd
like to get some
money on the rumors are true all right finley did you want one with cheese no
you sit down uh no no
just a normal one okay i'll let you i prefer him not to have cheese a little
lactose intolerance yeah i
know that's it's bad for the dog what's that that's so nice okay sit off now
this is crazy impress
impress them impress them don't do anything i wouldn't do okay stop off off
look look at me look
let's look at that again that was stunning i'm so sorry i doubted you and the
dog let me see that again
finally you're putting meat on the animal's head look at that that is
remarkable oh my god what a
tremendous i've never seen you in slow motion i'm so proud of you oh he's a
sweetie uh i tell you what
when we uh come back we'll uh take a look at uh do you have a clip we can see
yeah we're going to see
a clip of when i first meet my husband which the movie is kind of about our
relationship so has your
family seen this film they um my dad's about to see it tonight yeah and what
does he i mean he knows
what he's super supportive about it he's actually amazing um i'm i'm sitting
through with him because
i've seen it enough but i i just to shield him from the boobs it's really just
about him not seeing me
naked oh oh you mean me stop don't do it okay we'll be right back with amanda tyson
ladies and gentlemen
now i've seen uh australian shepherds that uh look different than finn is there
a wide variety of uh
australian shepherds well you've got your merles you've got your tricolored tricolored
i've seen
the tricolored those are the ones with sort of the blue and white no that's merle
he's a tricolored
this one is a tricolored yeah he's a red tri the merle is the the modeled sort
of yeah and they have
two different eye colors sometimes yeah that's a little creepy it's a little
weird and sometimes
they're they're like they have looking at now what's he thinking he's judging
he's judging everybody
he's he's he's worried about getting a cab yeah probably
yeah that's right can you pay attention for just a few more minutes
kids man yeah oh what what kind of things do does the dog tweet um he tweets uh
you know just some
positive messages my friend actually tweets for him okay i'll tell you it's not
really him it's my
friend matt um my genius friend matt and sometimes i just send him pictures of
what finn's up to because
he does a lot he's very adventurous and um he just he's just like a pet who
gives you know positive
messages out because you know it's a tough world how do you exercise this dog
because i know that these
guys are athletes and they need a lot of exercise um they should be athletes
but he's he's not an athlete
dave he's not an athlete no what does he do for exercise uh he goes hiking and
he goes running yeah
now when you take him running how do you do that um i put a belt around me and
i clip his
uh leash to the belt listen i'm so so so now do you do you think about it and
the dog can outrun
you i'm just saying no he cannot he cannot out slow it's so boring but he's so
slow and not an athlete
i'm sorry buddy see i did the same thing with my dog on on a bicycle and he can
out uh well
a squirrel well he's a yellow lab and all he wants to do is run yeah uh and and
so he pulled the bike
out from under me and i cracked three ribs he saw a bunny he saw a damn bunny
and bang zoom
the bike disappears and i'm laying there did he say sorry no he never you know
what he never apologized
he never that son of a bitch never apologized you love your kids anyway yeah
hey finn do you hear me he
you know exactly what i'm talking about
oh what a delightful animal he is you're delightful yeah um yeah oh this again
well let's let's show people a clip of this but lovelace really great see it
and and this is where
you first meet your husband and the peter starsguard the trouble okay take a
look there you go yeah and
