you know kids over the weekend the television writer's grueling five-month
strike finally
came to an end to help our viewers understand this complex labor negotiation
our own peace
through dramatization players have put together a little play they call hell
strike 88 the reckoning
kids and now stay tuned for an all-new episode of she's the sheriff
oh i'm so glad the writer's strike is finally over now we can all look forward
to fresh and original
episodes of our favorite shows looks like tuffy thinks so too the whole thing
makes me mad the
television writers were making too much money as it was oh dad you're just
bitter about your dead-end
job as a fry man over at the jack-in-the-box are you little bastard i'll fry
you
ah hi kids wow late night talk show host steven letterman
and broadway's michael crawford as the phantom
oh keep that damn dog away from me okay uh you know kids uh broadway's michael
crawford and i
were in the trailer park uh trying to find that propane leak and we couldn't
help but overhear
this terrible domestic squabble going on get your hand out of the seat well dave
my jerk of a son
thinks the tv writers deserve their grossly inflated paychecks well dad you
know it's not just the
writers everyone in television has paid a lot for very little work why the
producers for example they
get so much more money for even doing less work than the writers really yeah
that's me
dave i don't see why we even need writers can't the actors make up their lines
as they go along
well that's a good point dad but most actors would have trouble making a
sandwich let alone
improvising a line of dialogue
we get the point dave from top to bottom tv is a stinking cesspool of mediocrity
that's right
and i think broadway's michael crawford can agree with that right can't you
keep that animal on a leash
why are you so damn jumpy uh any other questions why does michael crawford look
so pale and puffy
hey hey i don't have to take this crap i want a dan tony award oh no
i i hope we haven't offended broadway's michael crawford
what's that strange sign yes gosh i don't know what tuffy's trying to tell us
something what is it tuffy
something about a chandelier
wow well that certainly was kind of close wasn't it
and and a pretty big chandelier for a trailer good night everybody
