You know, because of the developments in Germany, and haven't they been
fantastic, Paul?
Unbelievable.
I don't care how disinterested you have been in world events in the last 10, 15,
20, or 30 years,
this really has got to have made an impression on you.
For me, I'm thinking to myself, here's something I never thought I would see
happen in my lifetime.
Freedom, East Germany, West Germany, people coming and going, talk now of the
wall coming down,
and it really has been very stirring.
So, as a tribute to the new age of freedom dawning in Germany, ladies and
gentlemen,
we present the following scenario.
Ich bin ein Berliner.
Larry!
Larry, Larry, Larry, fix your hair.
Do you mind if we leave you like that for the rest of the show?
I'll call it.
All right, fine.
Larry will be...
Larry has agreed to hang around.
Hey, hey, hey.
Let's do our top 10 list.
Is that where we are?
We've got a great program for you here tonight.
And our top 10 category,
Lekwalesa's top 10 questions while in the United States.
You know, Lekwalesa is now visiting the United States.
Lekwalesa is now visiting the United States.
That's it.
I can't do it anymore.
Are you...
What?
Are you...
What?
Are you dancing?
Is that what it is?
I'm dancing.
Here, now get down from there before you hurt yourself.
Okay.
Get the tranquilizer rifle.
There's the shot of the late-night brain trust, ladies and gentlemen,
talking over just exactly what went wrong there.
I don't know.
I was on a break.
I'm sorry.
I don't know.
Here it is.
Lekwalesa now, you know, from Poland, Paul.
Yes.
Political leader from Poland.
Labor leader from Poland.
He's now in the United States.
Now, these would be his top 10 questions while in the United States.
Top 10 questions that Lekwalesa has...
Right.
...would be asking while in the United States.
While in the United States.
These are some of the things he wants to know.
Here we go.
Okay.
Very nice, Antoine.
Number 10.
Why are you so interested in our union, Mr. Gotti?
Number 9.
Number 9.
Mrs. Bush, could you please get Millie off my leg?
That was a great old song, wasn't it, Paul?
I love that song.
Get Millie off my leg?
Mrs. Bush, yeah.
Millie off my leg.
I remember it as being more upbeat than that.
Number 8.
Am I your only dinner guest, Congressman Frank?
Number 7.
Number 7.
Are you joking, McRibs?
Number 6.
Is that just for Warsaw or for the entire country, Mr. Trump?
Number 5.
If Reagan wasn't coloring his hair before, why is it growing in gray now?
Number 4.
Am I missing something with this Norm Crosby thing?
Get ready, Larry.
Stand by.
You could be flying seconds from now.
Number 3.
Could you get me another cup of coffee, Mr. Quail?
Number 2.
That Dan Rather.
He's goofy, isn't he?
And the number 1 question, Lekwalesa is asking while he's in the United States,
if I become an American citizen, can I change my name to Buddy?
We're going to do a commercial now, and when we come back, Gary Busey will be
here,
so we hope you are too.
Thank you.
Thank you.
