We thought tonight would be an excellent night to go up the street there at Sixth
Avenue and, I don't know, 56th, 55th to the Fromex Photo Store and take a look
at season-ending vacation photos in a little something we call, May We See Your
Photos, Please.
There we go. This is the Fromex Store up there. I have no idea what Fromex
means, but it's at Sixth Avenue between 55th and 56th, and these would be
people picking up their photos.
That's right, this man right there. Well, look, they're wearing matching
jackets. That's nice. Just to the left a little bit. Yeah, identical jackets.
Look at that.
They must be giving out free jackets with any roll of film developed. Hi, how
are you? Nice to see you. Did you just pick up some photos there?
Yeah.
What is your name, sir?
Robert Bruce.
What do you do for a living?
I'm a salesman.
Salesman, what kind of stuff do you sell?
Graphic arts.
Yeah, and you're picking up some photos from a summer vacation?
No, I collect toys.
Uh-huh, so these would be photos of toys?
Toys, yeah.
All right, Robert, may we see your photos, please?
Photos of toys, Paul.
What are those? Those are Pez dispensers?
Yeah.
Man, I'm coming in.
Wow.
Nutty generals.
Yes, sir.
You don't have a family, do you, Bob?
Not yet.
All right, thank you very much.
Thanks for sharing those photos, and thanks for helping us out tonight on May
We See Your Photos, Please.
Now, here's a gentleman.
Hi, nice to see you.
Oh, hello, Dave.
Good afternoon.
Hi, how are you?
What is your...
Someone just stand in front of the lens.
Hi, what is your name, sir?
David.
Oh, David, and where are you from?
Well, I live here now.
I'm from London.
London?
Oh, how long ago did you move over?
About 10 years.
Yeah.
Do you like New York better than London?
Doesn't the Brooklyn accent give it away?
Hey, we'll handle the jokes, all right?
Now, I know something about your photos.
This is a very special occasion for you, is that correct?
That's right.
What do we have here in these photos, Dave?
Well, my wife gave birth to my first son yesterday.
We have the photos of the, I guess, the whole thing, I guess, huh?
No, that's me getting off my spaceship.
Lovely little outfit.
Nice socks, by the way.
That's the heir to the hall-tipping dynasty.
Oh, man.
Is that a boy or a girl?
Doesn't it look like a boy?
I hope it is.
Well, how much did the young man weigh?
10 pounds, 10 ounces.
Wow.
Wow.
Muscles, my side of the family.
All right, sit down.
How much do you weigh?
About a couple of pounds more.
Now, do you have a photo there of your wife we might see?
Yeah, hold on, hold on.
All right.
Yeah, be careful here.
We...
Oh, hello, Dave.
Nice to see you again.
There she is.
This is your wife, and her name is...
Cynthia.
Oh, we didn't see her.
Hold her up again.
Hold on, Ben.
With the baby.
Oh, there.
Oh, that's beautiful.
Boy, you have a lovely family.
That's a lovely woman and a lovely baby.
Congratulations.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for taking part in May We See Your Photos, Please.
Hi.
Who is that?
Hello.
Yes, ma'am.
Could you turn around?
Hi.
Hello.
Nice to see you.
Hi.
Are you girls together?
Yes, we are.
What are your names, please, from left to right now?
Which is left and left?
Which is right?
I'm Eileen.
I'm Suzanne.
Eileen and Suzanne.
Yes.
And are you folks picking up photos together?
No, we have to buy film.
We have to buy film because we need to buy film together.
Oh, wow.
That's a...
What the hell does that mean, exactly?
But you're not picking up photos at all, eh?
No, but we're dropping some off.
Well, we're going to have some good ones tomorrow.
Oh, all right.
Well, you know, we won't be here tomorrow,
but if you could drop by the office around noon,
I'd love to see them.
But they have photos of us on display at the store, though.
Well, I'm sure they do.
Have you looked over here at all, Dave?
Here's one.
Let's see.
This is a pretty good angle.
Hey, no, that's...
What are you...
Hey, hold it.
Yeah, what?
Oh, my God.
Oh.
You know...
You know, it's that earthquake we had.
It's driving everybody nuts.
Well, it didn't affect us.
All right, ladies.
Thank you very much for helping out tonight on
May We See Your Photos, Please.
Now, let's try.
Let's try.
Do we have time for one more?
Is there one more actual customer in there?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Hello.
Nice to see you.
What is your name, please?
Diane Torres.
Where are you from, Diane?
New Jersey.
Uh-huh.
What do you do for a living?
You work in the city?
No, I'm a hairdresser.
Uh-huh, I see.
And you work in New Jersey?
Yeah.
And you're just picking up film photos here in New York?
Yeah.
Wow.
I'm visiting.
Oh, you're visiting, I see.
I'm visiting, yeah.
I'm a party.
Oh, these are party photos.
Want to see?
Yeah, please.
May we see your photos, please?
All right.
Who is this?
This is my friend, Jana.
Oh, seems like a lovely woman.
All right.
What kind of party was this?
A wild one.
That's Dan again.
Yeah.
What have you done?
What was that?
Oh, I didn't see.
Oh, cute.
Very nice.
What have you done to your fingernails there?
You like them?
Yeah.
What is that treatment there you got on there?
Oh, this guy tried to get to the party.
Oh, man.
Geez.
Now, see, this is, why can't I go to parties like this?
All right.
Let's take a look at two more, and then we have to go.
Is that the groom or the father of the groom?
Yes.
Just photos around New York.
This is just New York.
It's visiting.
All right.
All right.
Grab one of those postcards off the wall.
Let's take a look at that again.
Yeah.
This one, you want to see this one again?
Yeah, that's just fine.
Anything else up there?
How about this?
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
All right.
Thank you very much.
Nice, nice meeting you, and oh, hey, get rid of that.
No, we don't.
There's a guy in there.
He's got a brand new baby, and this kind of nonsense is happening.
Thank you very much, ma'am, for helping us out with May We See Your Photos,
Please.
All right.
Jeez, that's crazy, isn't it?
Do we have time to go up the street?
Let's go up the street and see if we can take a look at one more batch of
photos.
Hey, you.
Excuse me, sir.
Hi, pardon me.
You.
Yes, sir.
Hi.
How do you do?
My name's Dave.
What's your name?
Rob.
Rob.
Were you in here earlier without a beard?
No.
Oh.
Do you have photos?
Yeah, I just picked them up.
Can we see your photos, please?
May we see your photos, please?
Here we go.
Sure, quickly.
What are these?
Oh, very nice.
Oh, good lord.
Where was that taken?
This was in San Francisco.
Yeah.
Thank God it's not a family reunion.
And this?
That's in Los Angeles.
I see.
This is your family, a vacation?
Yeah, it is.
That's my wife.
Yeah.
And where exactly did you find these costumed people walking around?
That's my son.
Yeah, right.
And next, what else do we have?
That's in the motel room.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
All right.
No, no.
You're making us all sick.
Thank you very much.
Yeah, you're traveling alone, weren't you?
Yeah, okay.
No, no, no, no.
All right.
Oh, wait a minute.
Yikes.
Wow.
This gets better and better.
All right.
Thank you very much, sir.
Nice chatting with you.
Thanks for helping us out here on...
May we see your photos, please?
Are we done?
Yeah, we gotta go.
We'll see you tomorrow night.
Thanks, folks.
Hi, I'm Kyle McLaughlin.
Even though the coffee here is only fair,
I will be hosting the premiere of Saturday Night Live.
And assuming she has no objections,
Sinead O'Connor will be here, too.
