You find us on a wonderful night tonight because tonight, out on 53rd Street,
we're going to be
bowling all night long. Let me tell you, yeah, let me tell you who's out there.
The gentleman
doing the bowling tonight, inducted into the Professional Bowlers Hall of Fame
in 1974. We're
not kidding around here, we go right to the top. This man has rolled 20,
sanctioned 300 games during
his career. He and his wife have four children, all of whom have bowled,
sanctioned 300 games.
Man. I think it's safe to say he's a bowling fool, a bowling maniac. Born in 1929
in Indianapolis
and has received the Hickok Belt Award twice. Speaking of the Hickok Belt Award.
The Hickok
Belt Award. Ladies and gentlemen, do me a favor now, please say hello to
bowling legend out
on 53rd Street, Dick Weber. Dick, nice to have you with us here tonight. Thank
you, Dave.
Thank you very much. Nice being with you. Thank you. Good. All right.
There you go, Dick! Yeah!
Thank you. You would not believe the stories Dick was telling me during
rehearsal about bowling
groupies. Unbelievable.
Dick, are you ready to go? Dick, have you ever bowled outdoors before? Once
before, once
before. Did you say once before? Yes.
Okay. I didn't do very well either. All right. So now, Dick, just to warm up, I
guess you're
going to take a shot at the normal configuration of bowling pins. Right-o. All
right. Good luck
to you. Here you go. Okay, here we go. And Dick Weber bowling on 53rd Street,
ladies and gentlemen.
Oh, it's a beautiful ball. There we go.
There we go.
What do you think? Try and pick it up? Dick, which one did you leave standing?
The seven pin. You want to go for it? Okay, let's go for it. Dick, if you hit
that, I'll come out there and give you a big kiss on the forehead.
Here we go. One more time. Okay, here we go. Let's see how he does.
I'll be right back.
I have a jacket, thank you very much.
I'm 46 years old, I've kissed a bowler.
Well, it'll take me a minute or two to get over that.
All right, let's go back out to 53rd Street, ladies and gentlemen, all night
long.
And by the way, we've had traffic in this city tied up all day just so we can
do a little
bowling.
Dick, are you ready?
Yes, sir.
What are you shooting at now, Dick?
I'm shooting at a television.
A television.
All right.
Here we go.
A television with a videotape of pins on it.
Okay, here we go.
Dick Weber shooting at a television set.
Yeah!
Man!
Let's...
Yeah, da boy!
Hey, let's take another look at this.
Bingo!
Adios, caselo!
There you go.
It's easy to see why every member of his family has bowled a sanctioned 300
game, isn't it?
If you're just joining us out on 53rd Street, we have bowling legend Dick Weber
bowling for
us all night long.
How you doing, Dick?
I'm doing fine, thanks.
Fine, thanks.
You're doing very well so far.
What do you have for us now, Dick?
Uh, we've got some bases down there.
A little china.
All right.
Fine...
Fine china.
We were going to give those to the audience, but I guess you decided to bust
them.
All right, Dick.
Okay.
Here we go.
Here we go.
Here we go.
All right.
It's a beautiful ball, he drizzled.
Oh!
This guy is hooked up.
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Woo!
Man alive, Dick.
Baby!
All right.
You are hooked up tonight, buddy.
Oh, you're hooked up.
I have here...
Oh, it's the replay of that.
Look at that.
And that is the reason it took four hours to get across town today.
I couldn't be more proud.
Hal, let me see that shot again, all of those people out there on 53rd Street.
Look at that.
Word spread like wildfire.
Hey, free bowling on 53rd Street.
Is, uh, Dick, are you in place?
Yes, I'm in place.
All right, what are you shooting at now, sir?
Uh, a bunch of, about ten dozen eggs.
All right.
Eggs in an aquarium.
Okay, here we go.
Hall of Famer Dick Weber.
Here we go.
Yes, sir.
Nice going, Dick.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.

Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
Thanks, Dave.
That wasn't a perfect game tonight.
Now, if we just had some ham to go with those eggs.
All right, we have time for a little more bowling.
Let's go back out to 53rd Street, ladies and gentlemen.
Here he is again, PBA Hall of Famer Dick Weber, selecting his ball now.
I bet a guy like you owns his own shoes.
Right, Dick?
Okay.
Here we go.
Here we go.
What are we shooting at now?
We're shooting a video camera now.
Oh, it's a video camera.
Oh, this will be very exciting.
All right, let's take a look at this.
It will if I hit it.
Dick Weber on the lanes.
Very, very difficult shot.
We have time now to go back out to 53rd Street with PBA Hall of Fame bowler
Dick Weber.
Dick Weber.
Dick, what are you shitting at now here?
What's...
Dave, we've got some champagne glasses set up out here with champagne in it.
So we're going to try to knock them down here.
All right.
Dick, by the way, thanks for everything.
You've done a great job for us tonight.
Thank you very much, Dave.
Good luck to you, sir.
Here we go, Anton.
Very fine.
Very fine.
Yeah!
There you go!
