The Beastie Boys have never been on the show before.
Bless the Beastie Boys and the children.
I, I...
It seems to me I have a vivid memory of six years ago the Beastie Boys were
here.
Now, but they were not on the show.
I remember the day they were in the building.
Yeah, they were in the building.
They were across the hall at Live at Five.
And I remember some kind of trouble, some kind of a fist fight from the Beastie
Boys
and busting up equipment and terrorizing Sue Simmons, the host of Live at Five.
Oh, man.
They treated her badly.
They said ugly things to Sue Simmons.
And already, the show's not even ten minutes old.
I've had reports that the Beastie Boys have been stealing my coffee.
That's peace.
I'm just here to tell you one thing.
No trouble, okay?
We don't want no trouble, okay?
On the program tonight, Bryant Gumbel will be here.
The Beastie Boys...
No trouble.
No trouble.
Yeah, like I could handle the Beastie Boys.
Hey.
Could I be a bigger dork?
I'm sorry, we're out of candy.
I think the Beastie Boys trick-or-treated at my house.
And they pulled away.
And they got in their limousine and took off.
Okay, now...
We'll just see what happens now.
Now, something for the kids.
Our next guest will be performing a song from their third album.
I have a copy of it right here.
It's entitled, Check Your Head.
Ladies and gentlemen, no trouble, all right?
Hey, no trouble.
There you go.
Here they are, the Beastie Boys.
What's up, y'all?
Right now, it's showtime on Late Night.
How about a big round of applause?
Oh, yeah, yo
Oh, well, back to the back of the back of the beat
Down with the sound, it sounds so sweet
Just how fresh and you can't draw
Those are the best, say, yeah, sure
Cause I'ma come and talk and I'ma do my thing
I'ma take on my talk and I'ma let myself away
Time to last my tummy with a bubble snack
Well, now I've got to get back
So, this goes out to you, and you, and you
Get up
I'm gonna break it down to the nitty bit
I'm gonna drop your oar, why you're late
Cause what the time to just make me soar
Mom and I weep all day long
I'm gonna bust my shoes and then I bust my socks
Spread my word from standing on this box
The time to whirl and just see right
Gonna bust your oar, why you said get my hands
Get real nice
Get real nice, y'all
Get real nice, y'all
*music playing*
Hey what?
Come on, y'all, come on, come on and let's
Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up
I'm trying to get up, you don't tear me down
Life, I love you, just give me your power
Up from diamond into this fire
Look within and shine in the fire
*music playing*
Oh, yeah, yeah
Alright, we like to get on the late note cups
And the soul clatter
Clap your hands, y'all
Also, clap for all I got
Clap, clap, clap your hands, y'all

The Beastie Boys, we're here
They're back
Seem like very nice young men
Oh, they are very, very well behaved
I just hope to hell
they're not neglecting their school work
No, they travel with a tutor, I understand
They do?
Professional tutor on the road
The Beastie Boys are traveling with a tutor
Yes, I understand that's true
Show us your money stuff, first of all
Let's see a heater
Just unload one there, John
Money stuff would be the...
We're roughly 60 feet from the plate
Roughly 60 feet
I'll be over here holding the balls
Okay, this is fastball
Okay
Oh, man
Hard work for the catcher there
Alright
What do you got next?
Now I got a slider
Okay, slider
What does that do exactly?
Slider's gonna cut into the left-handed hitter
Cuts into the left-handed hitter
Right across the plate
Alright
That one really didn't cut into it
Yep
2-0
2-0
Now this is gonna be another slider
Another slider
Oh, pretty pitch, pretty pitch
Now, if the guy is crowding the plate a little bit
That's your territory
That belongs to the pitcher, doesn't it?
He's hanging out over the plate
Move him back a little bit
Alright, he's a little close
You gotta move him back
Yeah
Now, do you heat this one up or is this gonna move?
Yeah, we stay away from the head
You gotta go, you gotta low and right by his waist
Alright, sir
That one he hit out of the park
Right down the middle
He hit it out of the park
Yeah, there you go
Yeah, let me know if I'm screwing up your concentration
I'll be in the stands taking a nap
Oh!
Man, would that have gotten your attention?
Yahoo!
That's where it needed to be
Yes, sir
Let's see if you can brush him back
Alright
How much time do we have?
20 seconds
Okay, I didn't have a chance to warm up
And you know I'm coming off rotator cuff surgery
It wasn't an injury, it was just something I wanted done
It was optional, surgery
Alright, here we go
What?
Oh!
Alright, I've got attention
Let me see if I can get the helmet
Are we done?
Oh, oh, John, thank you very much
Thank you
Have a great off-season and a good '93
We gotta go, folks
Thank you
