Baby please come on, baby please come on, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Darlene Love. Nice job, Darlene. We'll do a commercial and be right back. Sounded
very nice.
Okay, nice to have you here. That sounds great. You know, Paul plays that every
year, and I keep saying, what is that song, what is that song?
And so this year he came and sang it. It was wonderful. Great. Nice to have you
here. Everything okay with you?
Everything is wonderful. Thanks for being here. Come back and sing it again
next year. Of course.
I hope you have a good holiday. My thanks to the folks who are here tonight,
Jay Leno, Pam Shriver, and of course Darlene Love.
Tomorrow, folks, on the program, Australian cowgirl Sandy Thorne, Rick Moranis,
and Jeff Cesario bring a covered dish, won't you?
Thank you very much. Good night, everybody.
Thank you.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. You know, a lot of people get depressed around the
holidays, and I think it's because of television reruns like this one.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. You know how every Christmas you get a lot of cheap
crap that you don't really need?
Well, here's some more. It's a late-night rerun.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. You'll be happy to know that this late-night rerun
operates on...
I'm sorry, let's do it again.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. You'll be happy to know that this late-night rerun
program operates on ordinary house current.
It's my way of saying thanks.
Well, here's one thing you can say about this holiday-time rerun program. It
doesn't need batteries.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. Everybody in East Texas can now see my show on KETK-TV
Channel 56.
It's a brand-new station, so there's going to be an awful lot of screw-ups.
It might be fun to watch, so join us.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. Everybody in East Texas can now see my show on KETK-TV
Channel 56.
We give Texas the kind of entertainment it wants.
Lots of New Yorkers in jackets and ties sitting around talking about themselves.
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. I know you folks in East Texas aren't really used to
the idea of KETK-TV Channel 56 being an NBC affiliate,
it being a new station and all.
In fact, when you get right down to it, you probably don't know the first thing
about them.
They could be anybody, and you're letting them into your home.
What are you, nuts?
Hi, I'm Dave Letterman. Everybody in East Texas can now see my show on KETK-TV
Channel 56.
Now, some of you Texans may find our show is a little too, you know, New York
in its outlook,
but what can you do? We pretty much run things.
Thank you.
