oh you know who's on the program tonight she stars in a uh a brand new film and
this is perfect for
the holidays what they've done is they've created a movie uh all about new year's
eve and so of
course it will be the big holiday smash because this is the time of year we
have new year's yeah
yes it is that's very clever though clever marketing yes well that's right
you can you can start seeing this film in theaters across the country on friday
ladies
and gentlemen here's one of the stars of the film the lovely jessica beale well
you look wonderful
you look so lovely thank you for coming out i'm sorry i'm just a little uh i'm
running a little hot
like i said and you're so cool and lovely thank you very much not a minute too
soon how have you been
i've been really well how about you oh what have you been doing you always have
something interesting
and i understand you're quite a skier and you're going to go helicopter skiing
is that yes every
year helicopter skiing is so snowboarding hella hella boy even crazier where do
you go sometimes telluride
sometimes big sky we uh i went to switzerland a couple years ago which was
amazing that's a long
ride in the helicopter yeah that's a long way worth it though if you fly oh
forget it
well you must be quite a skier if you're a helicopter snowboarder right yeah i
mean when did you learn
to ski snowboard well started skiing when i was probably what a seven or eight
and then turned to
us uh turned into a snowboarder around 12. right i think we talked about this
ever since yeah but now to
do this you have you ever done the hella skiing and stuff the hella snowboarding
before uh yeah
uh the last couple of years we've uh but don't you have to go through some kind
of survival school
well you don't actually but i i am doing that this year i'm taking i'm taking
an avalanche um an avalanche
emergency no no no no no no no no no no no no no see anything say you have to
take an avalanche
emergency class you shouldn't don't leave the lodge you don't have to take it
well if you don't have
to take it why do they give the course i'm taking it because where where i like
to go is is in on in
the mountains is sometimes can sometimes can be really avalanche scary and
hairy so to to be able
to what sort of things do you learn in the avalanche at school well i'm not
quite sure what we're
going to be doing i know it's going to involve a shovel um a beacon and a pro
take a shovel take
a shovel take a shovel if you think you're going to be near an avalanche
definitely i think i think
it might involve some classroom work and then some in the field study and i i
we might even be burying
people and like finding them learning how to find them well good luck with what
where's bob did bob go
down where exactly but they say that when you're at that altitude where avalanches
might be a problem
you can sort of predict by looking at the texture the layering of the snow is
that true yeah that's
part of it i think this class will hopefully give me the ability to see what it
looks like when it could
be sketchy yeah because you don't want to get stuck in an avalanche have you
ever have you ever been
near an avalanche no luckily thank goodness well they're deadly dangerous yes
they are yeah
and uh what do you know we have the the film the uh the new year's do you have
holiday uh like new
year's eve plans are you going to be skiing on new year's eve i will definitely
be skiing usually i'm not
somebody who gets really you know worked up about new year's it's usually drunken
board games in some
random mountain cabin after we've snowboarded all day long oh i see yeah or a
drunken snowball fight
right that's happened before should you be in a program because it sounds to me
like maybe
maybe that's the class i should be taking yeah maybe i'm really not making it
sound very good for
myself am i now the the but this movie is such a great idea it's all it's all
about uh uh new year's
eve and they had the one the other one of all about valentine's day right and
are there going to be
others uh you know like labor day i would yes i think we would laugh that we
would be doing labor
day or memorial day or but this now do you work with this i mean everybody is
in this movie i have a
list of the folks who are here uh you are in there sarah jessica parker and you're
would you get to be with
her no hallie berry do you get to be with her nope robert de niro no michelle pfeiffer
no
did do i have the wrong list
no it's so weird when you do the ashton kutcher no hillary swank no oh come on
katherine heigl no
matthew broderick no uh john bon jovi no
ludicrous no josh do hobble
zach efron nope
we only have two people left those are the ones
lee michelle and seth myers yeah oh seth you that's the only one you worked
with well i also worked
with till schweiger and uh sarah paulsen
uh but so everybody shoots their little pieces independently and they edit them
all to exactly i
worked i think about two weeks where did you film this was that in new york
city yeah yeah you like
working in new york city it's so fun yeah it was cold it was win-win it was
cool hadn't been cold in
years here were you outside earlier today it's like 65 these last few days have
been unbelievable crazy
isn't it i mean 60 degrees is so nice 60 degrees and rainy it's just like the
philippines yeah
i like it i think it's great yeah well yeah wait till july uh well let's take a
look at the film what
tell the people what we're going to see we are seeing um i think the i'm i'm
pregnant in the
movie and seth is my husband and it's the moment where we know we need to go to
the hospital
and this could be the the new year's baby this could be that's that's kind of
the under
kind of a thing that's right because we're hoping to win a competition a little
jockeying
for how do you get some money for the first new year's baby here it is new year's
eve it's in
theaters friday it's jessica beale that's very cute
well it's in theaters on friday and uh uh you're you're off now you're going to
take off you're done
with the film for a while you're going to go away and start skiing and stuff
yes we'll be very very
careful and good luck with avalanche school and always avalanches or not take a
shovel okay the
lovely jessica beale ladies and gentlemen we'll be right back with tom greeson
everybody
