Our next guest is a funny gentleman who lends his voice to a new animated film
entitled Doodle.
It opens February 24th. Here's Jimmy Fallon, everybody.
Easy. Easy.
Easy.
Some can pull it off, some can't.
I can't, yeah.
But that's a great hat, by the way.
Well, she wears it better than I do.
How sweet was she? Wasn't she terrific?
The cutest little thing, right?
Did you ever do that? Did you ever snowboard?
I'm terrible. I'm the most awkward snowboard.
You've tried it, though, right? Yeah.
I went to a snowmass with my girlfriend last week, and it's just, I was shocked
that even that monkey was better than, it was amazing.
That monkey was great.
I was like so awkward, and I just couldn't turn or anything like that, and I
fell down, and I just knocked the wind out of me.
Like I did it to myself. It was just so embarrassing.
And the instructor's trying to talk to you, you know, while you're all passed
down.
Are you okay? I'm like, I'm fine. I'm fine.
Are you fine? Did you break anything? I'm fine. I'm fine. Fine. Fine.
And he's like, five? Five, five? Are you giving me a number? Five, five?
And I'm like, little kid, like, just drives right by. You've got to stop it.
Yeah, it's like, yeah, it's like this guy. You've got to stop it, buddy.
And then you're just like...
Did you enjoy any of the experience?
It was really fun. I had a good time, decently, just like, just going around.
I went to different bars and stuff like that.
That's good. Yeah.
I like traveling. I like...
You went to Ireland recently as well?
Yes. Were you working there? Is this a vacation? Do you have family or
something?
Vacation. Just went, just because I just wanted to go.
And I went to Galway.
And they love to drink in Ireland.
Yes.
And so do I. So it was kind of fun.
And then, so I went to there.
And it's really cool, but it's got like...
I went to this one bar.
And they have this thing called Irish set dancing,
where they teach people how to...
Irish set is the word?
Set dancing, yeah.
They teach people how to do, like, the river dance type of thing, you know.
You don't have to do it, but, you know, the guy kept eyeing me like I was going
to do it, you know.
So I didn't want to do it, you know.
I just want to go and drink, have a good time, yeah.
So I was just, I would try to get out of his way,
but to get out of his way, I would just kind of blend into dancing with the
people.
Oh, you're kind of clocked.
Walking away, walking around, going back and forth,
and trying to get to the men's room.
It's like, you can't just barge your way through it.
I had to fit in with people.
That's humiliating.
Excuse me, sorry, yeah.
How much time were you spending in Ireland?
I was there for a good week.
Yeah, it was great, and then it's just very nice.
It's very, like, classic and old.
Great people over there, and it was really fun.
I actually brought something, because I went to the,
when I was leaving, the Shannon Airport.
They have a list of things you're not allowed to take on the plane.
I think we have it right here.
And it's kind of, they look like you do knives and guns and stuff.
Can we hold this up?
Yeah.
But then, look at this one, if you can see this here.
If you can zoom in there.
No catapult.
Can't take a catapult on the plane.
Apparently, you can't take a catapult on the plane.
Well, what's the fun of traveling there?
That's right.
I guess, like, no medieval weapons at all.
No kettles of boiling oil, or--
But if you do, say you do get the catapult on there.
You got to have-- how are you going to get that big boulder on there?
Exactly.
You got to have, like, a buddy with you.
Like, yeah.
I don't think-- I didn't see the boulder mentioned.
They did not mention the boulder.
That's not prohibited.
It fits in the overhead compartment, I guess it's a--
But it's a great fun to travel, isn't it?
I love it.
I love it.
I love Ireland, yeah.
It was super fun.
Again, good times.
And beautiful countryside, isn't it?
Gorgeous, yeah.
I love it.
Took a lot of pictures.
The-- we're talking about the movie now.
This is an animated feature.
Is that correct?
Yeah, it's a cute little cartoon for kids.
It's called Dougal, it rhymes with Google.
There's nothing to do with Google.
Right.
I kind of wish I had stock in Google.
But I have stock in Dougal.
So it's--
Yeah, it's-- it's doing OK.
Well, it's good.
Yeah, it didn't come out yet, so--
but it's-- I play-- it's a talking cow and a talking--
I play guitar playing bunny rabbit.
And-- and-- and we go after--
we go after these--
you've got to find these jewels to save these two little kids that
are trapped.
So it's really normal.
And who else-- what other celebrity voices
will we hear in the film?
We've got-- you've got Whoopi Goldberg.
Whoopi Goldberg.
Jon Stewart.
Ian McKellen.
Ed Mensen.
I'm just making up names.
Ed Mensen-- Ed Mensen is very good.
He is actually-- it's hard to get his voice.
It's a very deep, very deep voice.
You go in and you just do your voice, and you're like a--
you know, I tried different ways.
I was trying to like-- because he's kind of like a rock and roll.
So I was trying to like--
hey, look out.
You know, so they're like, yeah, don't do that.
Don't do that.
Well, I would think you had it right there, right on the money.
No, no, no, so they do it again.
So I go, hey, don't-- don't do that.
And they go, yeah, just do it--
can you just do it with your voice?
And I'm like, that is my voice.
And they're like, like, more like higher energy.
I'm like, don't do that.
I'm like, perfect.
Really?
So I'm like, crap.
And now-- yeah, then see, Ed Fenson goes in there and just--
You guys smooth as ice.
And I understand that tonight, you're going to do something you've not done, I
don't think,
for us on this show before.
If you don't mind.
Well, I'm excited about the holiday coming up.
Monday's President's Day.
Oh, President's Day.
That's right.
You know, and as you know, I'm a huge history buff.
I didn't know that.
Did I know that?
I don't think I did.
No, I don't think I did.
You probably didn't know that about me.
But do you enjoy President's Day?
Do you celebrate it like my family?
Are you kidding me?
Yes, absolutely.
Open the gifts the night before?
Yeah, right.
So I'm going to sing a song, if you guys don't mind.
Oh, sing a song about President's Day.
Sure.
It's a classic old gem.
You might know the word.
Thank you.
Jimmy Fallon, ladies and gentlemen.
President's Day.
I love President's Day, as I said earlier.
And you might know the words of this classic old gem.
I hope President's Day means the same to you
as it does to me.
Oh, I'm going to drink on Sunday.
Drinking, drinking Sunday.
Don't have to work on Monday.
Happy birthday, President.
Great vacation, celebration, destination,
intoxication, ebriation, cautionation.
Birthday, President.
God, I love the President.
Told there'll be no hesitance on belly shots.
A rumble man's birthday, President.
Yeah, President's Day is awesome.
You know what I'm talking about.
You know, if George Washington were alive today,
he'd probably say something like,
"Good God, I'm 274 years old.
Why can't I die?
What's wrong with me?
Isn't that weird?"
But he also thinks that he might be happy
that he gets to celebrate,
half-celebrate his birthday on the third Monday in February.
That's pretty cool.
One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four.
There will be no complaining
if it's snowy or it's raining.
Beer and a shot.
I say, beer and a shot.
I say, beer and a shot.
I say, beer and a shot.
With my man Dick Cheney.
Happy birthday, President.
Jimmy Fallon.
Happy President's Day to you.
Thank you, buddy.
Jimmy Fallon, ladies and gentlemen.
We'll be right back in two months with Ben.
