hi oh i'm sorry go ahead barbara that's my line hi i'm barbara games welcome to
the show it's me
barbara and dave hi how are you you know i don't know if i've mentioned this in
the past i get
opportunities to be on other youtube shows and i typically will turn them down
because i i feel
like you've been so kind to me over the years to have me as a guest on your
program i feel kind of
like i'm family so thank you very much for that you are family that's very kind
of you i uh wanted
to mention that unless the show is really good much better than this one uh and
i have had some
offers recently i did my own little uh youtube uh outreach with alex honnold a
couple of days oh i
saw that it was great first of all this guy is the guy as advertised i love the
guy he's so nice he's
so sweet he's so talented he's uh unique in this world of humans or other
worlds but anyway i did
that because i knew if i did it here nobody would see it well oh we climbed up
a climbing wall yes
you did and it did get quite a lot of views you're right but the the other
thing is alex and i went
down to the uh pearlman uh performing arts center downtown at the one world uh
trade plaza how is that
place oh it's fantastic it's it's so beautiful and if you consider and you don't
even need to consider you
just know 23 years ago what that was like and now the rebuilding of it and this
wonderful memorial to
that that day and that time in the life of new york city but i i believe that
the pearlman performing
arts center is kind of like an architectural jewel not just for performing
spaces in the city but
architecturally speaking i find it delightful and the transformation is such a
great testament to the
spirit of the humans really to to put that in place after um what happened it's
great anyway uh it was
great fun he's great fun and and i wish nothing but great he's so successful he's
climbed first ascent
on the highest peak in every uh of the seven continents and they're looking
around for an eighth
or a ninth continent to go to work on that oh and here i have a new book his
big book was alone on the
wall when he went up the face of el capitan and you have a book i have a new
book coming out by the same
people is well here take a look so you can buy it wherever uh fine quality
books are sold there's a
tremendous climbing center that we went to right around the corner from where
my son attended high
school it's been there for like two or three years and let me say this about uh
climbing gyms they are
the new miniature golf huh interesting and anyway i went up on the one scared
the bejesus out of me
i saw that video oh you saw the video yeah yeah yeah i didn't want to use it on
your show no because
i knew no one would see it so i put it on goes into the abyss exactly right
yeah yeah yeah what i wanted
to say yeah that you and paul uh auction off paul's marquee piece of the marquee
and uh mr bill guess
get chow has won it twenty thousand dollars you um you made to victorious oh
yeah uh uh pet culture
pup culture yes i'm so pleased about this twenty twenty thousand dollars he
gets a jacket also right
exactly do i sign it up i'll send it right here oh crap i should have had a
board
that looks pretty good good as it's gonna get there you go that's me great and
then paul will
sign wherever paul wants to sign and he'll use a board he can't tell me
anything this is a beauty
too look at that yeah that's a good these are leather sleeves and on the back
it's got the name of
the show and it has a nice lining so out there in illinois in the cold uh yeah
i like the lining don't
forget to to push and do what you do to get down the thing enjoy thanksgiving
yes bye thank you very
much joy thanksgiving memorial day yeah memorial day yeah
