Hi, I'm Barbara Gaines, and welcome to The Barbara Gaines Show. This is Mary
Barkley and Dave Letterman.
How's it going?
And this is one of our wonderful road shows. We know how you love a road show.
Tell them where we are, Barbara.
We're in Niagara Falls, on the Buffalo side.
Look at that. Isn't that fantastic? The Niagara Falls. Wow.
It's gorgeous here, and it's a gorgeous day.
Yep. Yep. And by the way, if you're in the area, come on by and say hello.
Yeah, we love visitors.
We're at the Falls.
Or Canada.
Yeah. We're at the intersection of Falls Boulevard and Falls Drive.
Here you can see, that's the American right there, and then to the right, as
you look at it, those are the Canadian Falls.
Seemed bigger when I was there as a kid.
These are the biggest falls in Buffalo.
Fun fact about Niagara Falls State Park.
Ten fun facts.
Ten fun facts.
Not too late to plan a trip.
Like somebody's top ten list.
Ah, like somebody's top ten list.
But these are not.
These are from the Niagara Falls.
Why don't you get to it?
Niagara Falls.
Yeah.
Wait, I'm setting it up.
Oh, okay.
God, nobody's TV.
It's from the Niagara Falls Park website.
Visit Niagara Falls.
Website.
Yeah.
Ten fun facts about Niagara Falls.
All right.
So here's one.
Three falls are better than one.
The fact that we refer to the falls collectively as Niagara Falls leads many to
believe that we're talking about one giant waterfall, when in fact there are
three.
The aptly named American Falls are on the U.S. side are three falls.
All the waterfalls can be experienced on the U.S. side of the falls.
What is wrong?
Would it kill you to have pre-read that on the bus coming up?
Oh, by the way, speaking of the bus, we want to thank the folks at Peter Pan
Bus Lines.
What a trip.
It was nice.
It was comfortable.
You're not going to believe this.
They have a bathroom on the dang bus.
Yeah.
That was great.
That was good.
A shout-out and a thanks to Peter Pan Bus Lines.
I'd like to use the bathroom.
Okay.
I have one.
July 4th, typically the biggest tourist visit weekend of the year here at
Niagara Falls.
This year, however, for that particular week, beginning Sunday and ending the
following Monday, Sunday, well, it's like an eight-day, the falls will be
closed for their annual cleaning.
What?
Here's another one.
Hey, did you hear about that Joy Chestnut?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Woo!
Tune in to Netflix to see a guy eat.
Labor Day.
Yeah.
Or just go to your family picnic.
Kobayashi.
Just come over.
Yeah, just come over to Barbara's house.
Yeah, you can see me eat like three bags of Nancy's cookies.
All right, let's put an end to the fun facts about Niagara Falls.
I've got another one.
This one's really good.
People might learn something.
You have a little fun and you'll learn something, too.
It's not the tallest waterfall in America, but how big is Niagara Falls?
Its vertical height is over 176 feet in some sections.
That's nothing to scoff at, but pales in comparison to the continental United
States tallest waterfall.
Want to guess where?
It's in Bolivia.
Where?
No, United States tallest waterfall.
Uh-huh.
Colorado.
Bolivia.
Good guess.
Yeah.
No.
California.
All right, I'm going to end this.
Yosemite Falls.
Oh, Yosemite.
I said California.
Yosemite, sure.
Which tops out at 2,425 feet.
Here's an interesting fact.
About 97% of men my age visiting the Falls are reminded to phone their urologist.
Hey!
That is a fun fact.
More than 700,000 gallons of water per second pour over Niagara Falls.
We're going somewhere next.
Oh, it's getting even better than Niagara Falls.
And let me just say something.
When you see the three of us here enjoying our time at Niagara Falls, what does
that make you feel like at home looking at your computer?
Huh?
What does that make you feel like?
Bunch of losers.
I was going to say loser, but then I thought that's not nice.
Not me.
I was going to say heroes.
YouTube heroes.
That's what you are.
Can we hit the gift shop before we go?
Oh, that's a great idea.
Oh, I'd love to go to the gift shop.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I went to the Niagara Falls.
Boy, did they suck.
Is that a thing?
No.
They don't really suck at all, do they?
No.
I'm trying to think of an appropriate word.
Boy, did they fall.
I thought I fell.
All right.
You should drink every time I push my glasses off.
I got all wet in Niagara Falls.
Oh, that is a good one.
I got all wet in Niagara Falls.
Don't forget to smash that button and subscribe.
Oh, by the way, I want to thank the good folks at YouTube, the good folks at...
Comcast.
Comcast.
Comcast.
...and everybody for putting on a big show for us today.
Yeah.
Am I the only one with nothing to promote?
No.
Am I the only one here for the love of the show?
Yes.
Yeah.
All right.
Thanks for watching.
It's reflected in your pay as well.
All right.
We have to go.
We're broiling hot.
Yes.
Sweating.
Get back in that Peter Pan bus and head back to the city.
Right.
You can actually, while the thing is moving, you can go into the bathroom.
It's crazy.
It is crazy.
Try that in your car.
Yeah.
Well, that would be hard to do in your car.
Yeah.
All right.
Thanks.
Goodbye, everybody.
We love Niagara Falls.
Yep.
You should try it.
You should try it.
I don't know.
I'm sweaty.
Yeah, me too.
Nothing but sweat.
Thank you.
