All right, this is going to be exciting.
My next guest is one of the best gospel and soul singers working today.
She was one of the original members of a group called The Sweet Inspirations,
and she's appeared on hundreds of records as a backup singer.
She also has a few famous relatives, including a daughter named Whitney Houston.
Please say hello to Sissy Houston.
Maybe I didn't love you quite as often as I could have.
Maybe I didn't kiss you quite as good as I should have.
But if I made you feel second best
Gee, I'm sorry I was blind
Cause you were always on my mind
Oh, you were always on my mind
Maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
Well, I guess I should have told you
How happy I was that you were mine
Oh, those little things I should have said and done
Well, I just never took the time
But you were always on my mind
Oh, you were always on my mind
So tell me
Tell me
Tell me
Tell me
That your sweet love
Hasn't died
Won't you give
Give me
Give me one more chance to make you satisfied. I'll make you satisfied. If I
made you feel second best. Can you forgive me, my love? Please, cause I won't
play.
Ooh, you are always on my mind. Ooh, you are always on my mind. Ooh, you are
always on my mind.
Ooh, you are always on my mind.
Ooh, you are always on my mind.
That was terrific. That was a knockout. We'll be right back. That was very nice.
Thank you very much. Boy, that was terrific. Thank you. That was really
exciting. Would you come back more frequently and sing?
I sure would love to. Like maybe every night of the week?
We'll just, you can come in anytime. Give me a job. I'd love to.
This is, you know, Whitney was here a while back. Yes.
You're both lovely women. Both very talented women. It's been a great year for
you, hasn't it? Yes.
Are you going with Whitney to the Grammys? Of course.
Will you give me a message for Stevie Nicks?
Just mention that we're joking and we think the world of her.
I sure.
You're dynamite. Please come back. I'm serious. Come back. Thank you very much.
It's great to have you here. Monday, folks, Ed Lauder will be here and also
Carol Liefer, a very funny young woman.
Have a good weekend. Thank you very much. Good night.
