David, we're going to have a very musical evening with Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir
tonight.
I've been preparing all day long for this.
I don't want to say too much more about it, but right now I'm peaking.
That's all I want to say.
I don't want to say too much about it.
You know, Paul, it's not polite to peek.
Listen, listen, are you guys always on the road?
Hell yes.
Yeah.
Answer yes, they are.
Okay, thank you very much.
You know, in this season, what seems to be the season of reunion tours,
our next guests have been working together steadily for the last 25 years.
This right here, ladies and gentlemen, is their newest album entitled Built to
Last,
and it will be released and in the stores on Halloween.
Please welcome back to this program Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir of The Grift of
Dead.
And we'll be right back.
Maybe you'll like to give me kisses sweet.
Call me for one night and with no repeat.
Maybe you'll go away and tell me call.
Then a taste of honey, what's the none at all?
Well, if you feel like you're loving me, if you got the notion, second that
emotion.
Well, if you feel like giving me a lifetime of devotion, second that emotion.
Maybe you think that love will tear you down, so you've got the time to hang
around.
Maybe you think that love was made for fools, so it makes you wise and brave to
rule.
If you feel like you're loving me, if you're loving me, if you got the notion,
second that emotion.
Well, if you feel like giving me a lifetime of devotion, second that emotion.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
And then you're continuing to tour all over?
No, not all over.
It's just an eastern infestation.
And also there's discussion, and I don't know if this is accurate or partly
true, but you may be going to Russia?
Yeah, we're talking pretty seriously about it.
Yeah, yeah.
And how soon would that be?
May, I think.
And how long would you be there?
Until they let us out.
And do you imagine that as a tour all over the country, all over the Soviet
Union, or just in one city?
Probably just Moscow.
Yeah, we don't mention that.
But then we'll probably play Europe.
Yeah.
So that would be pretty exciting, I would think.
I hope so.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, good luck.
And did you get some duck?
Did you get a chance to enjoy some of that?
I can't eat them.
They're too fuzzy and cute.
How many albums have you guys done as a band?
I think this is the 20th, maybe.
I think more than that, but something like that.
Yeah, pretty impressive.
The name of the new album, Built to Last.
Nice to see you guys again.
Thank you very much for being here.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
