how's it going i'm good welcome welcome back good to see you dude a couple of
weeks ago you were
nice enough to be a part of celebrity x-ray challenge where we had one of your
x-rays
and then people try to guess who the x-ray is of yes and and we were all a
little alarmed because
usually we get like a broken arm or a busted foot or something but you you had
like a big chest x-ray
what was your problem i i had i had pneumonia ammonia yeah how did you get the
pneumonia and
how are you now oh you know i i don't know how it happened but i tell my
girlfriend i still have it
because uh you know if she'll say let's go antiquing this weekend i go my
pneumonia baby my pneumonia is
acting up honey no i don't even know how it happened it just was a but i saw my
chest on the show right
first time i've ever seen my chest it's very weird very not a great chest but
did did you have some
kind of symptom that led to the chest x-ray i i was when i breathed breath
breath breath breath
i uh it felt weird it was like i would go oh like that really yeah and then i
uh talked to the doctor
and he said i i had it for i i was going to send you another uh x-ray i had a i
had a neuroma on my foot
oh my god and what what is that well they say you get it from wearing high
heels i bet you do
my mom like a lot of a lot of a lot of moms were coming up to me oh i had a
neuroma but uh yeah
i don't know but you're okay now everything's pretty good i feel pretty healthy
i think now you
mentioned you made reference to uh your girlfriend and yeah i understand that
she's now more than your
girlfriend or either that or it's a different woman because you're actually
engaged to be married is
that right yeah congratulations thank you thank you thank you thank you i uh i
figured uh i wanted to
this is this will be my second marriage and i want this one to work out i'm
sorry your second well tom
green and i were married and uh and you and tom green were actually married it
was stupid i don't know
why we did it we're two comedians but uh you know because i didn't know that
every everybody in the
house we were both trying to get the attention at the table i'm sorry it must
be painful for you to
recall that well it's all right i'm all right no but uh it's good i did it it
was nice to my mom said
to me uh you know i told my mother i'm going to get engaged you know i'm going
to ask my girl to marry
me and my mom's like well just make sure that she's a lovely girl beautiful
girl but just make sure that
you guys are best friends you know because she's very pretty and looks go away
and you know when
you get older you got to make sure you got things in common and blah blah blah
and i was like my just
i'm telling you those boobs are here to stay those are there you go you know
what i mean that's good news
how did you meet your fiance how did i meet her oh i met her at a party i was
just sitting next to her
and i said one of my friends brought her by and said hey uh this is jackie and
i was like hey
that's about it i'm not very smooth with the ladies and and how long how long
have you known one another
well well we've been uh it's been uh uh four years we've been dating and uh and
here we are we're uh
in love she loves me i i hear she says that is it going to be a big wedding
probably be a huge wedding
well you know i am adam sandler for god's sake that's right
so you know the pressure the pressure's on me uh we're thinking 10 kegs uh
bud bush and lowen brown you know and then also my friends are like sandler you
got to get that cage
with the balls who all dive in it and stuff so you know i they know i got some
bread now so i got to
do that it'd be a regular liza minnelli deal ain't it now uh adam we just had
the uh the kids on the
the kids yeah the hollering folks i like that yeah did you ever up in new hampshire
you ever do any
of that oh well there was a big holler in my household uh the the common one
was adam's an idiot
uh but uh adam's an idiot yeah i like i like that young boy he was he was all
three of the hollers
were nice the little i like the kid though he was funny yeah and and the man at
the end when he was
going a little cross-eyed by the way when he was doing it i mean he was he wasn't
breathing that was
the deal yeah i know you gotta keep that in mind uh wait now you've met the are
you talking to jack
nicholson you guys are going to be in another film or in a your next we're
shooting a movie right now
i was at how did this happen i don't know it's very like how's i don't know
last night i'm at yankee
stadium i'm shooting a movie in yankee stadium it's been a dream of mine to the
yankees are my favorite
team always been and uh yeah yankees and uh there i am in yankee stadium last
night shooting a movie and i
wanted to i'm on the field so i figured i'd live out one of my fantasies there
i went between second and
third base and i pretended to kiss derrick cheater so i did that but uh but he's
taller than you think
but uh that's my fantasy i was tippy-toe uh-huh i see but uh this is why the
tom green thing fell
apart yeah yeah man he was jealous oh that's too bad but i am i'm doing i am
doing him over with the
man and uh he is nicholson is incredible i want to hear all about this i want
to tell you tell me how
you met him and your relationship with the guy and that kind of stuff okay i'd
like to hear more about
you and jack all right that sounds good all right so now uh you because it didn't
seem like you're
the kind of guy that might normally be hanging around with jack nicholson how
did this how did
where did you meet him originally what i you know uh i don't know how the hell
it happened but uh it's
very i i i mumble oh i'm a mumbler but i i don't know where you know i i i saw
this funny script and i
told somebody uh man it would be good to do this movie with jack nicholson and
then next thing i know
jack read it and liked it and i was like you're kidding me and i anyways they
uh so did you go over
to his house well i did yes i went to his house he is you know he is nicholson
so you're a little
nervous and i go to his house and i'm sitting in his room i'm in his house and
i'm like not yet
that's later in the story invited no no no no i i i've never had the i never
had the courage to go
in there no but at one time i watched some tv but i was i was i was sitting in
a chair like this and
and and uh mr nicholson's like about 10 feet away from me in the chair facing
me and he keeps his house
dark so it's kind of dark in there and i and i have why why is he like growing
mushrooms why is it
why is it why is it dark in the house i think it just to to set the mood oh oh
it's a mood a mood
i don't know it's it's a nice instance it's not dark my pitch black but it's
you know it's dark enough
dim dim dim yeah a word i hear in a lot of my reviews no
wow i don't think that's all right no i live with it all right so there i am
with jack nicholson he's
sitting about eight feet away say ten feet and he's facing me and i don't have
my glasses i i wear
glasses i can't see too well but uh they're not on that day dave so i'm looking
at nicholson and
he's talking to me and we were talking about 12 hours in a row about the script
and uh the first
four hours i was like i think that's jack nicholson i thought i thought they
were like testing me out
to see if you know let's put the fake one in see if this kid can hang and so i
was like trying to be
cool the whole time and then you know yeah he he like four hours in he says uh
i'm gonna go to the
bathroom now and if you touch my oscars i'll kill you and so i was like there
that's mr nicholson there
he goes well that's pretty good as he's gonna be in the movie then yes i'm in
the movie with him
they they say dave you know you gotta work with people who are better than you
in order to get
better at your craft and i noticed since i'm shooting the movie with him he is
getting much
better well it's nice of you to help him out like i wanted to help me he's like
a gentleman now what
about your uh what about your your family with all of the success i mean like
like your your dad is he
is he crazy about this does he just thrilled for you got to be thrilled i mean
you're getting married
and stuff yeah yeah well no my dad is um he i he thinks i'm a buffoon because i
don't wear a watch
there's not nothing i can do with my life that he's impressed with because i
don't have the watch
on i i i i uh i was doing the movie the other night at yankee stadium and mayor
giuliani is actually
cool enough to come and do some jokes for us he's in the movie so i call yeah
mayor giuliani a great man
and so uh i tell my father i call my father hey maya giuliani's here it's
unbelievable he's in my movie
dad this is incredible oh really what time is it
you know terrific but uh yeah i don't know he's has your father met jack nicholson
we golfed the other
day that's not true you and and your dad jack nicholson are playing i swear to
god we went golfing in
connecticut with another nice man mr bannon his name was and no so we're golfing
my dad and nicholson
were both bullying me around and uh i i've never heard the word moron more in
my life that uh
hey idiot get a hey moron go get me you idiot but i uh it was like they were
talking together about how
dumb i am and how uh so they really hit it off they hit it they loved he they
were hugging he is an
idiot i know i hate him well i don't think that's true it's uh dave i i have uh
like with nicholson i i
it's weird to tell stories like when he finishes a story it's like the whole
room's like laughing
you know and baffled oh i told castro you know i don't know how uh your
daughter ended up under my bed
but uh things happen you know when everyone's high and i'm like oh hey one time
on the airplane a
lady fell asleep in that i put peanuts up her nose and really that's good
different points of the
compass that's all that is yeah uh now uh let's talk about the film mr deeds
yes and uh it opens uh
when did we mention it opens i think the 20th this friday yeah it's a it's a
nice movie you and winona
ryder winona ryder did you enjoy working with winona i love winona she's a very
nice girl very sweet girl
going through stuff right now but hopefully that'll go away she is a very nice
girl it's uh
similar um to the time i remember when you had to deal with paul 10 years ago
when he was accused of
the graffiti stuff oh yeah about the graffiti stuff i got over that i went away
everywhere i looked in
town chafe was here i know i thought it was cute at the time
but she's nice she's nice she's great and uh people may or may not know that
this movie is a remake of uh
uh the movie nearly the same name mr deeds goes to town was the original yeah
with uh gary cooper and gene
arthur that was that's who was in it yeah all right yeah i uh i am a big fan of
uh frank caper capra capra
and so i've always loved his movies you know the the whiz and uh gone with the
wind and uh
he did uh saturday night fever i think and license to drive can you even tell
time
all right now we have a clip here this is tell people what we're going to see
out of me johnny
tuturro is in the movie oh he's very funny he is thank you yeah he's the man i'm
going to tell you
so he is the funniest uh guy he's my butler in it and i'm in love with winona
and my guy wants to
get engaged and he's very nervous so he asked john to i mean his name's emilio
in the movie to kind
of stand in for one here we go mr deeds adam sandler john tuturo mr deeds good
to see you again great to see you
have a great summer and uh whenever you get married good luck thank you very
much and give my best to
