letter number two uh have you ever considered doing a children's tv show mark
dunham duluth
minnesota you know uh thank you sure go ahead and applaud tv programming
i i never really have thought about doing a kid show because we believe that
the program
we do here uh every night is for people of all ages i see oh that's right
but every now and then every now and then we will plan kind of a special treat
for the kids
watching at home and that's what we've done tonight so ladies and gentlemen we
have a special treat for
all you kids watching do me a favor i hope you stayed up late tonight got
plenty of coffee in you
say hello to our good friend mickey mouse
as chief counsel of the walt disney corporation i must warn you any further
attempt to reference
trademarked characters such as mickey mouse will result in disney pursuing
legal action
against the late show and its parent network cbs furthermore you are enjoined
from depicting other
disney characters including but not limited to minnie mouse donald duck pluto cinderella
snow white and dwarfs one through seven inclusive although i see that grumpy is
already here
just a little joke there bonehead okay fine but seriously disney will vigorously
protect its
intellectual property rights seeking redress in the form of heavy fines
imprisonment or both
good night kids thank you very much mickey mouse everybody it's mickey mouse
i hope you enjoyed that tonight ladies and gentlemen turn on the external
camera we're going to see how
how many guys in bunny suits we can get into the time square disney store how
many guys in bunny suits
can get into the time square disney store i think this is going to be pretty
good because you know
the stock and trade the very backbone the very foundation of the disney empire
is people in animal suits
if you think about it whenever you go to the theme park people in animal suits
so i'm sure they're
going to love this all right turn on the camera let's begin the experiment how
many people in animal
suits can we get into the time square disney store time square now a wholly
owned subsidiary of the
walt disney corporation it's an official theme park it's been annexed by disney
and is now no longer
actually a part of new york or manhattan it's owned entirely
by the friendly folks at the walt disney corporation all right send in the
first costumed bunny here we
go how many bunnies can you get into the walt disney time square disney store
okay there goes one sure all right pretty good oh he's right in there the
double doors let's see
if we can find him in the store that's some store isn't it you go down there
this is nice i've been in
that disney store and that's right stand right behind the partition stand right
behind pick out
a girder and stand behind it it's not important who these people are ladies and
gentlemen they're
trained costume animals uh if you go in there from out of town and you can
prove that you're from out
of town you can buy a mickey mouse t-shirt in the disney store there for 160
dollars but you have to
prove that you're from out of town okay there oh we've been engaged here
somebody's that's a lawyer
dressed as a salesperson for the disney corporation they have the litigation
forms right there we're
about to witness a suit ladies and gentlemen this man on the outside is also a
lawyer they're working
inside and outside today all right let's send in another costumed bunny here we
go we've got one in
so far see how many costumed bunnies we can get into the disney times square
store there we go
all right and okay two we've got two in so far just go in there and line up
next to the other one
and presently reading the bunny his miranda rights
before they haul them off to that warehouse where walt is still on ice for
questioning okay we have two
bunnies now i think we better move this along a little bit let's send in
another bunny it seems
to be some difficulty there at the swiss border send in uh here we go send in
what did we only oh there we go all right so so far the tally is now well now
wait a minute this
seems to be yeah that's right double team i'm sure
uh okay are they in or are they not in oh if the door closes we can count it
they're in okay three
in so far all right and obviously some friction some tension looks like they're
doing a fabulous
walk-up business today though all right ladies and gentlemen the answer to the
question how many
costumed bunnies can you get into the walt disney times square store the answer
is three well thank you
very much
