welcome back i have a little uh my nose is uh and i'm sorry but i think i'm
fine oh okay how are you
nice to see you i'm good thank you how about you you're like i mean i don't
know when the last time
i saw you was probably a year ago i don't remember for the hunger games or
something like that yeah
and you're now and then you had been nominated for uh winter bone yes and and
and uh and now
here you are you're nominated again i mean you're like mr big shot sorry that
was flip yeah i know
yeah that was good i'm like a dragon oh my god you nearly horked up something
that would have
that would have been good yeah mr big shot yeah you think that's a big shot
wait till you see this
i got a little somewhere but i guess my point is you're really still a kid and
and i i think i know
how old you are but still just a kid honest to god and this is a wonderful
thing congratulations
by the way how did you learn to act so well i was a big liar when i was a child
really yeah
a lot of pretend things in your life yeah i was just like a pathological liar
when i was a kid i was just
always lying about everything and i i think it was like partly i just wanted to
one-up somebody like
somebody would be like oh god my leg hurts i'd be like your legs hurt i'm
getting mine amputated next
week and that's actually how my mother found out she came to school and
somebody was like god that's such a
shame about jennifer's legs yeah and so she made me purge and i had to wrap
myself up in a blanket high
and go underneath my bed and and i had to spill out all of my lies and i was
like i said that dad drove
a barge and we were millionaires and and you were pregnant and i had to get my
legs amputated and i
spayed cats and dogs on the weekends like just this is very very sad now what
is now i can't lie now i
get anxiety over it well that's i guess that's good it's a good thing make your
kids purge but what what uh
what does this what does this tell us about you the insecure as a child that
you needed to one-up
everybody i think that i just love stories dave i don't think i was insecure i
was in third grade
how would you describe yourself now i know very well-rounded and practically
perfect
who do you think is a really good actor right now just right off the top of
your head not not a not
a woman we don't want you to comment on that category category but an actor a
male actor well
daniel day lewis obviously comes oh daniel day left foot lincoln lewis
anybody else see i always think of robert uh or not robert duval oh oh have you
ever seen that guy do
stuff yeah i have seen him do a few things i mean he's he's like he's like
amazing and it's just like now
that's uh like a guy who john hawks yeah but you're kind of like robert duval
oh thank you
isn't it duval is it i think so
uh now all right he's not watching now uh we're not even talking about his
movies category of uh
female uh actors well meryl streep meryl streep damn good damn good the best
the greatest um now
how did you how did you learn to act because it's the same mechanism with you
it just you turn it on
and you don't see you acting we just see you as that person oh thank you well
that's it that's hard
to do it a lot of people don't do that you know a lot of people oh there's and
i won't name a name
but oh it's just it's larry the famous actor larry sorry larry yeah pretending
to be the shop teacher
you know that's what it is did you see that movie was deval in that
oh golly well listen but you're damn good is my point thank you but did you
ever take lessons i
didn't know that's great i was just lying lying all the time a lot of
controversy in your life right
now i'm sorry about oh yes a lot of controversy you won the uh you won one of
those golden glove
awards have you ever won a golden globe award no was it exciting yeah and what
was the deal you you
you go up there and in accepting and you got to think of something to say you
can't just go up
yeah did you go up there it's never a good idea for me to wing it but i yeah it
was a quote from
first wives club you were referencing that midler was talking about a globe i
can't believe nobody's
ever done it before where she says look what it says it says i beat meryl right
and it was so
perfect and i said it and i had no idea lindsay lohan would take the to the
twitterverse is that what
they call it the twitter i'll take your word i'm not on twitter but twitter is
is a very so so are you
uh but you're not in trouble are you they're not going to take your award away
oh god i didn't even
think about that yeah i just thought it was like well first of all it's meryl
streak like you can't what
can you you can't it was an illusion of that meryl streep and and uh bet midler
goes into goldie
hon's apartment yeah and she picks up the award and she says look what it says
look what it says
i beat meryl that's what you were and that's what i said and all of a sudden
the and then all of a
sudden i hate meryl streep exactly it's like you've been gunning for yeah i was
like is that what this
turned into i don't like meryl streep as if like i've had my eyes on getting
that girl forever and i was
like finally yeah take her down a couple of matches one day uh have you heard
from uh miss
streep no i don't know if i want to i don't know what of course she can take a
joke for god i'm sure
she doesn't care don't get the joke what about those dope i know i wanted to
make a public statement
like hey idiots uh it's a quote from the movie and it's meryl streep sure yeah
and everything's fine
yeah okay now we put that aside that's not going to be a problem for you've
been nominated i wonder what
twitter is gonna say now oh they'll be i wouldn't worry about those people um i'm
not even on twitter
and i'm so worried about it i tried to twitter and i have nothing to say i i
don't get it i don't
i feel that would be like a punishment for me like a judge would have to be
like six months of you know
probation and you have to write down what you think about random things that
nobody cares about it's me
dave i i think i have searing abdominal cramps yeah great what's anal leakage
jen lawrence
well now wait a minute i never i never thought about it in those terms
sorry you said abdominal cramps that's not the next thing no well i mean
it's just that it came to you so quickly one wonders it's on the tip of my
tongue
so now you have the uh the second academy award and that that'll be great
and and by god as always i hope you win this one i hope you win every time you're
nominated thanks
who else is in that category lots of amazing actresses uh am i going to name
them all because
one of them has a pretty tricky name okay well there's jessica chastain she was
great by the
way in zero dark yes she was incredible you should have been in that movie did
they did they ask you
to be in that movie no i bet they did they didn't actually i bet they did yeah
i should have been in
the background like yeah catch him yeah obama all right obama i mean osama yeah
i know don't catch
obama no sorry this is one of our best rehearsals ever
uh okay sorry mr president chastain uh jessica chastain oh the tiny little girl
the tiny little
girl yes kievon jenay yes she's like nine years old yes and she's incredibly
talented i don't want
you you understand that they've pulled this in the past where they they sneak
around and give it to a
kid oh god well i'm just telling you now another then i'll pull another meryl
go after the kid go after the child next that's right first a legend then a
child exactly okay now
on to the second controversy uh you you wanted to bring this up i'm i i have
nothing to do i've heard
you wanted to bring i did not want to bring it up i wanted to bring this up i
was reading trashy
magazines i was on an airplane it's it's my one guilty pleasure and i'm
flipping through and i find
a picture of me in a bathing suit may i show this picture and it's not my butt
and i will not take
responsibility for it it's a 90 year old butt that's been photoshopped onto my
body and is posing as my
butt may i show this yes this is not your anatomy this is not my butt you you
have proof you have
something by which we could compare well no no yeah i'm sure somewhere but i i'm
i this is not my first
terrible picture i'm i'm very unphoto like i'm totally open with there are just
really bad moments
that like now this is bloat nothing wrong now that look at that crazy there's
nothing wrong with that no my
makeup artist who's been doing my makeup for years didn't believe that that was
me oh she goes she
goes now that's what i call bloated and then so i will take responsibility for
that but i will not
i thought you looked very cute for this but show yeah well there's another one
who's that just that's
that's just me being bloated again you're not you're not bloated for god's sake
no it's okay it's
okay but show the 90 year old that just everyone don't know feast your eyes on
this
look at that look at that
that's not you no and my face looks like i know what they're doing my face
almost looks
like that's not my butt even in the photo you know where this was taken do you
remember why when i was
surfing with my brother and whoa do you surf really yeah well i mean not not
well but yeah but that's
pretty cool okay put it down now god want me to make a t-shirt of it a kid from
a kid from kentucky
surfing that's cool yeah uh so that's not your butt we'll we'll take your work
no that's not my butt and
that's the most important thing that i want everyone to take away this evening
look at how lovely you
are here oh thanks the golden globes awards before you made meryl streep cry
after you made her cry
all right let's take a look at a clip this is a wonderful this is a clip of my
butt yeah
and it's uh you do the monster hunger games and then you do the silver linings
playbook and then
you do the another monster hunger game so you you really have got it uh going
on thanks
is that what that means yeah but the good for you is what i'm trying to say now
the silver linings
playbook uh tell us of what we're going to see here jennifer um this is the
scene where i get in an
argument with um robert de niro robert de niro's in this movie yes and bradley
cooper's in this movie
yes yeah he's jackie weaver everybody was nominated in this movie weren't they
for something yeah yeah
that's good right testament to a good director david l russell that'll be very
nice and uh what's the
senior in an argument with robert de niro yes he thinks that i have um messed
with the eagles juju so i've
come to set him straight all right and this is contemporary or is it like 20
years ago or
don't worry about it just play the clip and you'll find out
it's just we're going to spend too much time talking about it you're right what
do i know
i've been doing the damn show for 30 years they rushed me all the way from
upstairs the hell do i know
all about rolling a damn clip damn good
he's damn good
all right well we pretty much covered that well you must be very excited are
you excited
yeah what are you going to do now what do you what are they they're in like
march or something the
academy awards when they february they're in february yeah what are you going
to do between now and then
oh god uh i'm just wait yeah wait yeah pacing my house what are what other
movies are you working
on that we can look forward to like the hunger games or something i just
finished catching fire yeah
so um so you can you can pace around your house waiting for that one yeah i'll
look forward to that and
you're making a lot of money you are right yeah yeah good
there she is ladies and gentlemen the lovely the lovable jennifer lawrence
