i was actually thinking the two of you were kind of like alter you know egos
yeah i'm cool he's
sort of high strung no he's the outwardly sensitive one yes and you're the yeah
he's had he he's had
meltdowns on this show you're the hidden sensitive one yeah i don't like this
she's seen through the
screen i don't like this this is creeping me out she saw right through it
listen jane thanks for
coming to the show it's been a pleasure she got right wow she's really good she's
in there i don't
like it you know what's funny too bill bill and i will will fight and i'll get
in the fight i'll get
really sensitive and oh and it pisses me off like he gets really angry but then
after the fight
watching him try to be sensitive and make up you can tell he's like
uncomfortable be like you're like
hey dude uh sorry uh you're one of my friends man i really like he has these
really soft piano playing
hands and you go to shake him it just makes you feel creepy but you go to you
do go to touch them
huh what are you saying i'm gay now i didn't say anything like that she's
saying you weren't i didn't
go to touch him i went to shake his hand see now you're gonna you see you were
in you were in and
now the deflector shields just went back up again i was in i see that but i
expected that to happen
with you a little you know anybody can say that afterwards dude i knew the
patriots are gonna lose
the superbowl dude i can do it i called it i know you're right but listening to
the three of you talk
i was thinking a lot about how men communicate somewhat differently than women
okay okay so how is
that um you know you guys all look at the facts what seem to be the facts
rather than what the feelings
might be your own which you often say is anger and then right rather so what is
the better way to look
look at it look at the way he said it are you a little angry with me right now
no no that was you
know what's so funny this is i swear to god this is how angry a person i am
that i'm so angry that even
when i have other emotions it still sounds like anger that was me being
fascinated like you know
what i think so it's defensive i always call i thought i think it's the east
coast accent i call
it asshole tone like you just sound like i have a lot of times people come up
to me and like i'm in
i think i'm in a great mood and people look at me like what's the matter you
okay is anything okay
you're like yeah i'm fine what the fuck i get that all the time you just know
it's it's more
defensiveness i think you're you're right in there waiting for somebody to bonk
you over the head no
well i mean yeah that's that's kind of how uh jesus christ you're just going to
get me talking
about my childhood yeah that's how it was growing up yeah people you know they
so tell me you got the
shit kicked out of you so well that that was kind of interesting i thought when
you were talking about
being on the plane and you um you notice you notice yourself getting angry and
you kind of go outside
yourself and observe yourself from the outside i gotta know i'm not trying to
be a jerk i'm just being
honest your calm tone is annoying me right now i'm just being honest with you
just like i get like
defensive and scared yeah any sort of like bill why are you i just feel like
you're gonna put a
roofie in my drink right now yes see the defensiveness i am i am yeah i'm a
defensive psychopath
but let's get back to joe but the thing is you know the two of you seem but
actually all of you
seem to have great affection for each other that that comes out even in the way
you talk to each
other sure yeah yeah but i haven't heard you have an argument yeah but you know
did you notice how
he couldn't look at me when he said that see so he's just as bad as i am he's
looking at you now
but i'm not gonna look at him you're looking at me you're afraid of me in my
defense i i do have guy
friends where i could look at them and be like i love you dude but i i know
that that would make you
feel uncomfortable so i don't but they're the only way for me to to to i can't
even say it what i
would have to it would have to be buried in the middle yeah of a bunch of stuff
dude things gonna
rain today yeah i love joe and uh yeah i think like rip his lungs out i really
care about you rip
his lungs out yeah i swear to god i love you you fucking like that that's safe
for me can i tell
you something no one knows if it's what you mean yeah he knows what i mean this
is a dysfunction in
our relationship but it's but it's true and it's it's proof of uh the sentiment
that i have for him
uh uh he you're annoying me right now just listen to this just listen at christmas
time we were doing
shows together and he gave me this acdc box set because we're big acdc fans and
uh i gave him this uh
all in the family box set because we always joke about it yeah and this and
this other movie and um
he he was like oh thanks dude and i was like yeah thanks and then i went home
and he left me this
message like really late that night and he was like i just want to say man
thanks for a great year in
radio and and and thanks for the present i didn't do that yes you did i was
drunk and there was christmas
lights it wasn't me here's the thing that doesn't mean you didn't mean it this
is just representative
of our religion right i got i swear to god i got teary listening to the message
i was so touched by it
and then a month later i asked him if he watched the box set he said that he
hadn't watched it i was very
hurt by that i was very very hurt that you hadn't watched the box so i gotta
tell you something i'm
not trying to add more pain in your life that that box set is still on my bookshelf
in the wrapper why
wouldn't you watch it because i'm gonna sell it on ebay no oh my god uh uh uh
uh
